Do you offer any payment plans?
No, patients are expected to pay at the time of service. Various forms of payment methods are accepted. The practice desires to keep the overhead costs low in order to spend more time with patients. Hiring a billing specialist to bill patients or collect unpaid fees would increase the expenses of the practice. These expenses would ultimately reflect in the cost of service and cause patients to pay more for their health consultations.
Do you offer any discounts?
The practice does have promotions at times. As far as discounts, patients should inquire with the practice specifically regarding any special rates, such as for full-time missionaries. New patients are given a discount on their initial purchase of supplements, should any be recommended. For details, please contact the practice directly.
Do you accept insurance?
The practice does not participate with or accept any insurance. However, a receipt can be provided upon request to be submitted to your insurance company, flexible spending account or health savings account. Every insurance is different and therefore it is not certain if you will be able to get any reimbursement for the cost of your visit. Patients are encouraged to contact their insurance company to ask for more information and to obtain a claim form if they choose to submit the receipt.
Why do you not accept insurance?
Insurance companies have specific guidelines that need to be followed in order for the provider to be paid. Therefore, health care providers need to follow what the insurance company dictates even if the provider determines in his/her best clinical judgment that a different diagnostic test or course of treatment is more appropriate. The practice was founded on the concept of providing hope to the patients that come for health consultations. In order to provide hope, patients need to be empowered to take ownership of their choices and be able to make the best decisions for their health and well being. When patients pay for their own care, they are in control of their choices, rather than it being decided for them.
Due to the manner in which reimbursement occurs from insurance companies, providers need to see more patients in less time. This can create an "assembly-line" approach to health care. Providing thorough, personalized health care for the whole person: body, mind and spirit requires an environment that allows more time with each patient with a patient-focused approach. Hope Family Health strives to provide this environment for patients of all ages.
